We held a BBQ at Almondell Country Park in West Lothian on Saturday 24 September 2005. Here are some photos of the event:
There was a bit of a puddle in the BBQ when we arrived but we soon dried it and got the coals started. At least the weather stayed dry - very unusual for a BBQ in Scotland!
Arthur and Lorraine Davies, from Dunfermline, Fife were the first arrivals. Sadly, Arthur passed away in January 2007 and is very much missed. Derek Main, our chairman is on the right.
You can see how hot the weather was - Richard's wearing his shorts! But why is he standing so close to the BBQ?
The food is nearly ready now and everyone's hungry!
Here are Anne-Marie, Sheree and some of the children. Anne-Marie makes the knitted goods and gift tags for our fund raising. You can see the outdoor activity area in the background.
Towards the end of the afternoon, the sun came out. The children were able to play on the outdoor activity area and we had a stroll round the walled garden before leaving. Fifteen Branch members attended and everyone enjoyed themselves.
